SEW-EURODRIVE is lean. Or at least we try to be as lean as we can. Lean is an ongoing learning-by-experience process, which focuses on the core business of an organization. For SEW-EURODRIVE this means that besides our production process, our office process has to intertwine in the complete corporate lean philosophy. The realization of a delivery time of 3 working days depends on how lean our office processes are.
Steps like changing the lay-out of the office floor, digitizing information into central toolboxes, shortening the lines between departments for better communication and much more, resulted in a higher productivity in office activities, which in turn contributed to a lean production process.
What we want to share
To share our experiences and knowledge we set up the Excellent Office workshop.
During this workshop the following topics will be dealt with:
- Discovering the waste in administrative and sales processes.
- Analyzing the waste through value stream mapping.
- Localizing potential improvements via our own developed Best Office game.
- Methods and ideas to permanently improve the outcome of office activities.
Participate?
The workshop is designed for a group of 10 to 12 participants. The best way to participate is with a group of colleagues from your company. Larger groups can be spread over more days.
Once a year we try to organize the workshop with an open registration.
